What makes Ecco different

Measured first. Designed precisely. Supported for the long haul.

We look at the energy your home actually uses before we recommend a system. That means your engineer-led plan is easier to understand, built with care, and backed by people who continue to answer the phone.

Why homeowners choose Ecco

A clearer standard for home energy

Ecco's Way vs. The Old Way

Both models promise energy independence. Only one of them is built to still be here in 25 years.

What you're promised after install

'Free service forever' — with no defined process for how that promise gets funded long-term.

What you're promised after install

Defined support in writing: daily app monitoring, quarterly check-ins, and an annual on-site system and roof check, provided through the Ecco service membership — month to month while active.

Why the model holds up

Support promises that outlive the companies that made them — industry headlines in recent years have shown what happens when lifetime-service models aren't funded to last.

Why the model holds up

A support model deliberately engineered to be sustainable — so our commitments stay affordable to keep.

How it's priced

Costs and markups that may not be obvious upfront — as opposed to Ecco's fully transparent pricing.

How it's priced

Transparent pricing with $0-down options and a flexible 5-year prepaid lease — explained clearly before you commit.

It's not possible to service systems for 25 years at zero cost. Pretending otherwise is how homeowners end up with a warranty and no one to call.

THE HONEST VERSION

A 25-year promise needs 25 years of math behind it.

Someone has to service your system for 25 years. Truck rolls, technicians, replacement parts, monitoring, and someone still answering the phone in year nineteen. It all costs money.

So when a company promises free service for life, in practice one of two things is happening: the cost was quietly priced into what you paid — or it was never funded at all.

When the funding isn't there, the promise doesn't outlive the company. Some of the largest names in residential solar have filed for bankruptcy in recent years. Industry data shows that when a solar installer closes, customers can be left without ongoing service support — regardless of what their original agreement promised.

If it sounds too good to be free forever, it was never free. It was just unbudgeted.

We'd rather say this now than have you discover it later. Ecco doesn't promise free forever. We built a support model designed to be sustainable: daily app monitoring, quarterly check-ins, and an annual on-site system and roof check, provided through the Ecco service membership — month to month while active.

If you'd rather believe in free for life, that's entirely your prerogative. The Ecco way isn't for everyone. Our job is to lay the facts out clearly enough that you can make an educated decision — and we're comfortable being measured against that.

Ask any solar company what their support promise actually includes. Then ask us.
